Something for the OEM folks....

Found this while researching history of the area I live in. I've never heard of such a vehicle.....but then again I know there were many small car companies created throughout the country in the early 20's. This would be real nice to own.....as an untouched original. I love this machine.

Known as the Climber. A 1923 Arkansas-built Climber Model 6-50 Four Door Touring Car, one of only two Climbers still known to exist. Both are on display at the Museum of Automobiles on Petit Jean Mountain in Conway County.

Great looking car! Makes me want to say it looks like an Oakland. ....or maybe not. My memory isn't that great. :-)

You may know this, but in the early part of the century, everyone with any mechanical knowledge got into the automobile business. Some only built a few...like this company.

Indianapolis alone had about 125 different brands built locally....that's what started the Indy 500.

The great depression shut all but the stongest down.

I dont know that much about the 20's automobiles....but I'd imagine this car was built as a luxury vehicle with a luxury price. I reminds me of one of the cars my neighbor owned many years ago. Belive it was a Buick. Also a beautiful elegant touring automobile.
