11-23-2008 08:07 AM #1Some fun for the civic minded.......

Since we don't have NHRA and Nascar to occupy the mind, maybe this will help.

A little quiz to see where you fall within the citizenry in your knowledge of civics/history. If you really want some fun, see the results tables from the control group of 2405. Might explain why some you of feel the way you do.

I think it's a common trait to ignore those younger than yourself............... Originally Posted by Itoldyouso Originally Posted by Itoldyouso

Veddy intedestink; and somewhat disturbing. Actually, in my family, the average would be quite low; I've never been able to impress upon them the idea that they cannot function effectively without knowledge and understanding of the past, and the fundamental principles that drive our culture and society. Both of my sons, and their wives went to college, two of them have advanced graduate degrees and are educators; however, my score was 96.?%, and I only graduated high school, barely, even.

29 out of 33 correct. I think my brain is becoming too full of really unimportant things. Need to go back and study the wrong answers. Need to go back and study the wrong answers. Bob

Interesting quiz. I did 30 out of 33 or 90% . I found the "discussion" and video more interesting. I'll have to agree with most of you and wonder how we ended up with those choices for our highest office! It was more like a soap opera, I can see it now "The Old & The Pretty"..... boy did we get hosed! I guess it's time to quit work and let the pretty boy and his government redistribution of wealth come my way. Oh wait, I'll never get a bailout either!
