Sweet!!!

Seriously, that's a beautiful piece of 'chinery. :)
and i plan on keeping it a 6 ! haha. i have a hot rod now i need a road car. and i dont see why i cant squeak 20-25 out of her down the freeway. on good thing 195-14's are alot cheaper then 29x18.50-15's
Looks great! I read an article a while back where a guy used a TBI fuel injection off of a Jeep straight six on a 68 Nova straight six and was pulling down 28MPG with a 5 speed stick.
that would be awesome, they actually sellt he adapters to take holley style TBI'S off blazers and stick on there. i figure that with it having 336 gears with 13 inch wheels and tires <stock> and now considering it has 14's it should do pretty good down the hghway at least tis a 3 speed haha. i would like to put a t-5 in it someday though.
Oh man....your making me miss my 63 SS. Well...she was literally a pile but couldve been nice. I gave it aways years ago. Literally.
Nice car!!!

now i just have to budget myself to hop it up. most i will do is headers and a 4bbl and some chrome trinkets. the offy valve cover sure is looking tempting haha
 . Good score.

Neat looking wagon, Scooter!!! Sure would be neat converted to a two door......
I'm sold on those TBIs for an everyday driver. We put one on my son's 69 Chevy truck with a 350 and 700r4 and he consistantly pulls down 20MPG on the highway with no cold weather starting issues. I just pulled the whole wiring harnes, front to back, along with the TBI, and computer off of a 88 GMC van, cut off the stuff we didnt use, and dropped it in right along with the fuel tank and guage cluster. He used an Edelbrock intake and an adapter plate for the TBI. Worked out great for a total investment of less than $100 bux.Quote:

Wow, That thing is clean! So down the road I suggest swapping in a late model 4.8 with an overdrive tranny and then you will have some nice scoot for the Scooter. With that light car and the EFI motor high 20s for mpg should be easy. And you can get a complete pullout engine, trans, harness for about $500 or less these days. (And if you do the math a 4.8 figures out to a 292! :) Maintains your early SBC heritage  ) Something to think about. Good luck with your move and welcome to the Green Socialist Republic of California. Did you find a good gig down there? The weather, beach and babes are nice for sure.

your crazy moving down here to the fruit and nut state were all trying to leave hope you se habla...... ted
So, when we gonna get rid of them 2 extra doors?????
haha i like them extra doors, and windows haha. yes im looking forward to some fun car shows., you know iw as thinking of one of them ls motors. but why not a turbo 6 ! i have a lsit of what ill do to it and it aint much, i wanna maintain street manners haha
Turbo 6 would be cool.. bet you could hide a small intercooler behind the grill, but you would need 2.5" gromets and a hole saw to pipe it all togther
yeah, down the road probably haha, for now just a stocker with some dress up.

oops.... sorry I was thinking out loud ;)
Guess I'll find my own. Maybe a 2d '59 Chevy wagon....ooooo!
i was thinking 100 cubes less, 283 300 horse would be right for it, considering i ahve 5 of them
Nice find! It's funny because I am picking my new 63 Chevy II Nova wagon up on Friday!!! Woo! I love these cars, and I get everyone saying to do the 2 door conversion but I am leaving it 4 door as well. Every one of my cars and trucks only fit 2 people, I will for once have something to fit more people and something to cruise to the beach. Right now mine has a mild 327 with the original powerglide and rear end. I have a TH350 to put in (even though I'd rather have a 700R4 just cant afford it). Keep us posted on anything you do to it, especially me! Have you visited stevesnovasite.com yet? Lots of great info there as well on the wagons.
