Bob I've not been on the last couple of days! But very cool video even the second time around. My friend just sent it to me in an email today. Unbelievable that the guy pulled it together! Makes you want to buy a case of laundry soap for the old pants changes just watching it! Sorry to double post your original.Quote:

Conventional thinking is that this is a doctored video used as a promotion for Killathrill Clothing. Most of the video looked like a model airplane to me. The movements just didn't look real.

Keep that up and you'll join the ranks of dirty ol' men........................
I turned up this interview with the pilot.
Didn't look too shook up, did he?
I'd be looking for a new pair of shorts about then.

However, B17s have been known to land with much of a wing gone and no tail section left.
Did you notice all the blurring of the picture right at the landing? That would have been a great time to switch from an RC model to the real thing.
Also, look at the differences in the plane in the air vs. on the ground in this explanation:

I thought it looked "hinkey". I also thought it looked like a model at times .....the fuzzy background in some parts seems odd .....and the sudden lurch at the end looked a little too quick to even be possible at all.
I'm not saying that a plane, that can use power to replace wing lift, could not do something like this. I just tend to think that that did not happen in this video.
Willowby's link to one site had this real video of an F15 landing on one wing.

The first link pretty clearly established the kill a thrill video as fake, but the F-15 video is suppose to be real and is substantiated.
