Cats are so dadgummed "inquisitive". When I was a pup, one of my "Grands" had one they called "Snoopy"; no matter what my Grandma was doing, he'd come to investigate. I most remember him sticking his head in the fridge every time someone opened it. My old cat is a "helper", too; if I have a ladder in the house, or am crawling around under a sink, or whatever, he comes to "help". I just shooed him off of the desk because he was trying to help me type. The young one, a recent adoptee, is not so much so; he is quite leery of things, probably due to an unhappy childhood. He'll come to look, from a distance, but any sudden movement or noise sends him a-runnin'.

Growing up we had quite a few cats. Wildfire was one cantancurous old alley cat adopted from Grandma's ranch. He did all sorts of crazy stuff from leaning out from a kitchen stool and biting my Mom in the butt, to a fullspeed jump on the counter, grabbing a pork chop in mid flight, clearing the other side of the counter and flying out the open sliding glass door, up and over the fence, pork chop still in tow! Loved that cat!

We still have some strays at the shop that we put out food for. We couldn't understand how one cat could eat 3 cans of food a night, then one night Dan found out............there are two identical black cats that come around. We wondered why one time he would be kinda friendly, then other times he was really skiddish.

Don how are the strays doing? It sounded like they were down on the luck, before they found you guys?
Mopar - It must look like a flock of ducklings following you around! Bet you don't have too many gophers or mice!
