And speaking of opinions

I was at an auction yesterday, visiting with a kid I met on RRR. We were standing by a big pile of 14.5 trailer house tires and wheels. I made some joke like "that's about enough tires to get 100 miles with those things" A man I don't know and who was not in our conversation, fired up like I had slapped his kid or something. He said "that's not true. I have them on my trailer and it has went 3000 miles" I was not impolite but did tell him I never made a trip without at least one ruined tire or something like that, then decided not to argue with an idiot 'cuz bystanders might not be able to tell which one of us it was.

Ohhh, if I was with you I would've came back with a zinger at him. I'm a consumate smartass and we would've ended up sharing a cell as new girlfriends for a dude named Bubba!:eek: :D

Folks like that are sure a test. I have developed the knack of just looking at them with a glare and then slip off to that thousand yard stare, then turning away and ignoring them. It usually shuts 'em up. Did have a guy at a gun show once grabbed my shoulder and spun me back around - and we danced a bit; I doubt he'll do something like that again. :CRY: **)

I love smart-asses cause I'm one at heart. I have to mind my P's & Q's most of the time, so when I run into one of those types, I just unload on them. I really like when they try to make me mad but all I do is smile at them and berate them even more.

What fun!!!

i not much on dancing i like to lead and then thing start off on the wrong foot for them with my right foot up some ones back side :D walking around most of the time in pain it not hard for me to give them that let me take you to hell look:3dSMILE: you do not want to get my irish up it is hard for me to put it back away:whacked:

My ol' Dad always said "never argue with idiots or crazy people" and now I know why! Bystanders won't know which is which! Love it!

One thing I have tried to teach my kids is that there isn't anything someone else does that releases you from doing the right thing. Just because someone else is a rude sob doesn't make it ok for you to be one basically. If he grabbed me I think the rules might change a bit, I'd definitely be tempted take his props out.
People are weird at auctions, be a good place to do research for a term paper if you were a psych major.
