That may be true of some of today's youth but not all.

The first thing my daughter (20) wanted for her "new" '68 Galaxie 500 Fastback was an Edelbrock carb/intake and dual exhaust. She helped her old dad install the carb, intake manifold, electronic ignition, headers, dual exhaust and flowmasters last summer. And she is not alone, there are plenty of young adults around that are into old cars and what makes them run.

Every classic car show I attend and most weekends at the track there is a very large amount of 16 to 30 year olds.

Unfortunately the nasty and noisy minority often get all the attention, rather than the well mannered and hard working majority.
I think this is happening world wide,most of the young people down here in NZ who are into the hotrodding circles are second generation hotrodders,been brought up around it,so thankfully,will keep up the "family tradition".
