My new answer to gas
Well had to break down and do it . Found this little baby on craigs list and went up north a bit to check it out . Engine runs great and its quiet and trans pulls great . Body has some rust issues as all those old escorts do from being around Chicago for so many years . It will have paid for it's self in about 4 months from gas savings with the F150 sitting and just running this to work and back .
Also with the wagon can still haul some parts with it .

My '93 is almost broke in now, shade over 160,000 and still gets 30 mpg....Paid $800 for it about 6 years ago... Definitely got my money's worth... Lately it's become the official loaner car, one of my neices' got ran into a couple weeks back, so she's driving it now. My neighbor's son drove it most of the winter...hopefully it'll come home some day!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Me too should have seen it coming and bought every one for under a 1K . Making 100% and maybe 200% beats any bank or ira .

Isn't hind site great. I should have kept a couple of cars that I have had in the past also. Now everything is so high it is almost impossible to beat the odds. I guess the Air Car that one of the people over on CC posted about is the way to go.

Like an old boss of mine used to say; "Hind sight is 20/20..........if you had an eye in your a$$ you'd be perfect!"

If I had an eye on my a$$, I'd be nervous.

My brother in law always ribbed me about driving a Caravan; now he's got his 4x4 Suburban up for sale and is looking at.......a Caravan. Smart move, Bobby. those Escorts run forever. Now you'll have more $$$$ for car stuff.
