Gene was a plenty big name "way back when". He built and drove some very good cars in several classes.

I don't know whether or not he is in the slammer as we speak, but if you're seriously interested in getting in touch with him you might try something that worked for me.

A friend of mine in Fort Worth committed a pretty grave "indiscretion" a few years back and was a guest at the Texas State Penitentiary for three or four years.

Prior to the time that he was sent up we had discussed the possibility of going into business together. At this point I might say that his offense had nothing to do with honesty or trustworthiness (or sex either, for that matter) but I wanted to correspond with him and I had a heck of a time finding somebody who could tell me how to do so. Finally I called the parole/probation office at the Tarrant County Court House and a very nice lady gave me a mailing address for him.

If you want me to, send me a PM and I'll get you an address and/or phone number for that office.

If Gene is paroled at this time, for reasons of privacy they may be hesitant to give you a contact for him. But ..... maybe they'll give him a message for you the next time he comes in for a "chat". Could be that he'll get in touch with you. Who knows?

    Good luck,

    Jim
