could someone take a 71 monte carlo and make it white with black wheels and what looks like red paint splashed on the front of it across the hood and front panels. I know this alot to ask but it would really help me picture what i want to do with my car. Thank you so much.

i have seen a paint job where the second color looks splashed across the hood and side panels. more like large blobs of paint instead of straight lines or flames. just looking for something different. I figure that since my next car show is not until the middle of june that if i repaint my car by then people who saw it this past weekend will think that i own more than one monte :D

Well, actually this photo is 'real'...that's actually a 'real paint job' on my old truck. It's a not a 'photoshopped' image. I can post more pics of the paintjob if you'd like...I've got a whole photo album at home of pics of the whole paint job in progress as well as plenty of final shots of the truck.

sorry to keep bugging you guys for this but my car is covered in primer waiting for me to begin. I am so anxious to see what i am going for.
It helps if you can post a picture of the car, or a car like yours, prefereably a reasonably high resolution, and something like a front 3/4 shot would be ideal for this. Even a white car if possible, because white is a difficult colour to acheive realistically in photoshop.
I didn't have a ton of time to spend on 'details' like I normally would for a paying customer, ;) but I thought I'd do this up for ya...

The best part about 'splashes' is that you can just free-flow when you're taping them up and as long as you keep them looking 'splashy' you don't have to worry about 'accuracy' since they are random...unless of course you really want both sides of the car to match exactly. If that's the case, I'd suggest using a stencil of some kind to get you in the ball park.
When my buddy painted the splashes on my toyota, we repainted the entire truck so it took us a little while. I think we prepped/sprayed for about 12 hours straight or better but as I said, we re-painted 'everything'. And that was just the 'paint prep'...I had many hours of bodywork weeks prior before we even started the paintwork.
Since that toyota shown above, I've since learned to paint myself and designed/painted/pinstriped my previous ride which was this 2001 Ford Focus ZX3...

This one I painted all on my own with a little help from my father. Painting is a lot of fun, but it's too much work to do it all of the time. I'm just glad I've learned so I can paint my own stuff when I need to. It saves me a ton of cash having the knowledge and equipment to do it myself. Plus, my main reason for learning to paint was to offer a bit more knowledge in 'designing' the paintjobs with my automotive side biz.

you did a really great job on the ford. you have alot of imagination. I do not want both sides to be indentical because i think that it defeats the purpose of the splashed look. Will take me a few weeks to get everything like i like it and i will send pics then. Thanks for the help.
