looking for a fishing resort in Minn, or SD
thinking about vacation this summer already, and i am having a terrible time finding a resort to go to this summer. Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated ( < spelling ? ) Just looking for some place for nice fishing for the kids and to pull a tube around on the lake, nothing fancy. I checked Lake place .com for minn but there is 12,000 resorts and thats alot to look up with dial up internet

When my Dad was still alive, he had a place at Lake Shetek in Minnesota. On your map it's a bit NE of Slayton, Mn. It was quite nice and kid friendly!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave....thought you would push the lakes in the Madison area....? Saw a booth at a recent Sioux Falls RV show, with a guy promoting a Madison Lakes resort area.Leo

Lakes here are terribly overrated, by mid-summer you can't stand to be around them cuz they're so "green"... Heck, when I want to fish or play on the water I go out to the Missouri River, north of Pierre....

checked out Shetek but i'm told that there is no resorts there, only campsites and i dont have a camper. thinking that we might be roughing it in a tent somewhere on the missouri unless someone has a camper for me real cheap
A buddy can hook me up to a campground by Winner, is that a decent area?

Yeah, it's nice down there. As low as the water is around Pierre, probably better down that way!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
