I can hardly wait
After almost two years of trying to find some headers for my Olds, I finally struck pay dirt.
Almost everyone that makes headers has a generic set that will fit most cars but when it comes to a custom, they just throw up their hands an wish you good luck.
I'm sure there are places out there but since I live at what seems like the end of the Earth on the Washington Coast, It'll be a long drive.
I did find a place about a hundred miles East of me that makes everything in house.
I'm suppose to take the Olds in next Friday and get a set of custom long tube's installed.
They will be the ceramic coated type with the "two into two collectors.
Should look nice compared to the originals.
Here's some pix of what they look like right now. Pretty BAD!!
I'll post as soon as I get it back.

Well appearance wise it sure won't be hard to improve on what's there now!!! Hope they do a good job for you, put up some pics when you get back!!!!

a lot of room should be a easy job did you ever try a set off a camaro?

Thank's for the suggestion, but yeah, and a Firebird, and a Corvette. Short pipes, long pipes.....nothing fit.
The biggest problem is the the motor mounts.
They are custom and there's the problem.
The guys that are doing it just kinda laughed and said it would be a piece of cake.
I said, "good, then it shouldn't cost too much".
Still, it will be good to get rid of the stock headers and get something that will improve performance and look good doing it.
Thanks again.

i put headers on a ZO6 vette and there a pain in the a$$ my friend was making long tube headers for the vette did you look at the truck headers? the ZO6 engine i work on made 450 hp on shorty

WoW!! That's a hellava increase. I'll be happy with just part of that.
Did you keep the Cats or do any exhaust work?
I'm running flowmaster Super 44's right now. No Cat's and no X pipe.
No I didn't try truck headers.
Are you talking about the LS series 327 truck engine that's in a Silverado?
Part of this whole thing is to make the engine bay look a bit better too.
I show the car and people always ask why I didn't install headers.
I'll be ready for them this year.
