Welcome back Southerner. Sorry to hear about your loss. It's tough to try to pick up the pieces and move on. I guess its the matter of keeping yourself busy and praying!
Good luck!
Pat
Sorry to hear about the loss of your wife....Quite a few of the old timers lurking about (I see all, I tell no one :D ), rarely do they post these days as their builds are winding down or are done.

I'm sorry also-as much as I hate to admit it--I dont think I would survive w/o mine.:(
I'm old, I'm still here. Sometimes.
Sorry for your loss Southerner.
We lost a friend (41) this week and My Uncle passed away yesterday about 3pm. Neither are the same as loosing a spouse however.
On a positive note, I have my cell phone on, waiting for a call that my daughter is headed for the hospital. First time grandpa to be.
Southerner Real sorry to hear about your loss.:( Glad your back on:)

I'm sorry for your loss Southerner. I lost my wife of 37 years to a long battle with cancer 3 years ago. It's a tough thing to go through and my prayers and thoughts are with you. I found that keeping busy was the best medicine although there were times I didn't really feel like it.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Southerner. It seems that life can get somewhat overwhelming during times like that; my bride was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in November, and things have been off kilter ever since. I'm glad to see you're back on here; I kind of missed you. For a bunch of guys I've never met in person, this bunch is always in the back of my mind, or sometimes in the front; I'm sort'a fond of them.
thanks guys my relocation is complete i am now in bluff at the bottom of the south island, Literally at the ends of the earth. Working as a fitter welder now in the port and building a new life.
Sounds like a place I might like. Being on the otherside of the world could be a good thing, definitely an interesting thing. Good luck with the new location and the new job. Sorry to hear of the loss of your wife.
Hey Buddy..........I'm so sorry to hear about Heather........you guy's were so much in love......and that will always remain in your heart. Be strong.....my thought's are with you and family.
I know we have'nt talked in a while...........how's your boy doing now. I miss our talks.
Take care my friend.........be at peace. D
Geez man, sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what that must be like. Struggle through I am sure you have had many goodtimes to comfort your thoughts.
Take care,
Andy. :(
Southerner, Sorry about your loss. I used to be a Newbie three years ago, took a year off and now am back again but I remember some of your posts. It is really neat to get some perspective from NZ and AU.

Good to hear that Mike is doing a little better. I miss him and wondered about him.

Gidday southerner, I've only just found this thread, you must have come back on while I was off.
Sorry to hear about Heather, that must've been a real wrench for you.
I knew she was crook, but just didn't realise how crook.
Our thoughts are with you and yours.
But to shift to BLUFF!?!?
Only been there a half-dozen times (for the oyster season,) and every time I got my oxygen force-fed straight off the ice.
Man, if it wasn't raining it was hailing!
You're going to miss the mild(er) Auckland winters!
Sorry to hear this, I will be in Auckland Jan 16th, if you would like to meet, I'm buying lunch.
Ken
You have my sympathy also Southerner, I can't even imagine what your going through. You have my prayers.
I haven't been around for awhile, what's Mike battling? Is it the emphysema?
best wishes
