We had taste of spring here in Pa. begining of week. Sunny and above sixty. Wake up Friday to snow and cold .:( I want get car back together for spring . Wife wants her big deck out back with roof. Thats only thing bad living here in Pa. One day it's nice next you don't know.
patience everyone .. better times they are a coming .. wev`e had our worst winter weather in bama .. usually happens mid janurary with temps in the teens a few nites .. i think a good general photo thread needs to be started .. i have lots of scenery shots ..:)

Hang in there you guys up North. I was watching a show on the Discovery Channel the other day, and they are predicting the earth will tilt on it's axis sometime in the future and the North will become the new tropics. (I think they predicted something like 30,000 years from now. :LOL: :LOL: )
Your Pa picture looks SO familiar. I have a picture somewhere of our back deck when we lived in Pa, and the snow is even with the 3 foot high railing. On the other hand, it is a very pretty State and has some beautiful scenery.

Here in York County PA we anticipate winter to end about the 1st week in May, Just in time for Mothers Day. :cool:

Bob , Our farm is in Jefferson County Pa. just below Dubois. Even in summer seems get real cool. My wife will not leave her family or we would be some where warm.
Don't car how pretty the pictures are, I still hate winter!!!!!!!!!!! I just go from the house to the garage, only a couple decent swap meets that are worth going to...... yuck!!!!!
Yeah I feel for ya Blizzarding here again getting tired of this stuff - 42 C with the windchill, too cold to fire up the heater in the shop even:mad: , just not worth it .
Cant even take the kids for snowmo rides cause its too cold, turn them into kidsicles.
Was thinking taking my dads old polaris to the antique drags this weekend but its just too cold to do anthing but stay inside and keep warm ,

I went to a Chemist's meeting tonight and met an old friend who is also from Penna. and I grew up in suburban Phila. We recalled Feb./Mar. mornings with a bright sun coming up over a shiny snow crust and temps in the 20 F range. My answer for that situation was about three slabs of scrapple covered with ketchup, a high calorie, fatty meal that was like lead in your belly but it got you through a cold morning. Don't ask what is in scrapple, you don't want to know except that if Eskimos can eat blubber, then scrapple is OK for breakfast in a cold Penna. winter. The weather here in central Virginia is generally mild but can get strange every so often. I am attaching a picture from last Spring of 2007 on Saturday, the day before Easter! I recall driving to college in Penna. (Drexel Univ.) in 4" of snow on April 1! (in my Blue Flame six '54 Chevie convert with the top UP) So far we have only had one light snow but quite cold temps, too cold for me to work in the garage until it warms up a bit.
