Vehicles with the 7.3 liter from 97-03 are being recalled due to Ford still putting this junk in their vehicles.
I have a right to call these parts junk because I bought a 99 Taurus 3.0 liter and the sensor or synchronizer is going out in it right now.3.0 liter Taurus's are notorius for this as they are with the heater core plugging up,heat blend door going bad, water pump impellers rusting off ,transmission vehicle speed sensor going bad,,,,man I am getting the full treatment with this Taurus. These problems are so common they are all over the internet and so,,,,I go read how john doe fixed his and do mine the same way ,transmission vehicle speed sensor going bad,,,,man I am getting the full treatment with this Taurus. Maybe thats why they keep manufacturing this stuff,,,,mechanic fee's don't exist because there are thousands of fit-it posts on them on the net
Any up-to-date Ford mechanics on here,,,,tell me what else will break seeing I own this lemon "On a r-e-e-e-e-al,,,,qu-i-i-i-i-i-et night,,,,,,,,(whisper),,,,,,,, you can hear a Ford rust!!!"

We had a Tauris in here with a 4.6 dohc in it to make run but never one that had a 7.3 diesel in it---my cam sensor went bad several years ago but I think it might of been in my 95---just finished replacing all the bearings in the rear end of my f350 crew cab that seems to have been caused by a broken vent line letting water from the wheel well run down the short piece still attached to rear end housing

That recall is on diesel trucks but they may be using the same sensor as the Taurus, don't know. Originally Posted by jerry clayton Originally Posted by jerry clayton
