Lincoln Pro Mig 140T

IM thinking of buying a pro 140T for home use,Need some thing I can take with to the grandkids house when they brake A go -kart ETC.45min trip one way to git what's broke fix then return.befor I got my 170mig I had a pro-135t with Gas and loved it.from what Iv read the 140 is replacing the 135t that's at Lowe's,and the 3200 HD at Home-depot is just a repackeged 135t.IM leaning towerd the 140 because I know the 3200 and the 135t say thay will weld up to 5/16 but with my 135 I never went past 3/16 just to be safe,I like the 140 just for the extra fire power just in case.Any one currently using A 140t or 140c would like to hear from you.

SO,No one weld's with 120volt MIG.:confused:

Bottom line there are some questions for you to consider.
budget?
available power supply?
duty cycle
it seems portability.......
are the controls easily (finite) adjusted or preset?
are replacement/compatible parts readily available from more than one source?
If you are happy with all you come up with then by all means get yerself a new spark maker!

sounds better than the Campfield Housend 120V flux core I got.

It make stuff stick together fine, but is a splatter-mess! it will aslo overheat and shut off on the bigger jobs.

I also bought a 120volt Lincoln weld pac 100 . Its a Mig welder that uses fluxcore wire but can be converted to a gas set up . Well I did not think this welder would be to good and it was not cheap $500.00 bucks . But in the garage at my home all I have is 120Volt . Well when I started to use this welder I was amazed ? I have used many high dollar welder over the years at work . And have welded more time then I have wanted to . And I can tell you this welder works great . And it is Hot enough . I am sure I can make a frame for a car or weld a body panel with this same welder . And with the fluxcore wire it works fine . It does not need the gas conversion . BUY ONE :)

Thanx for your input,had not yet considerd power supply at other house yet till Threearmsinjune mentioned it.I have seperate deadicated circut in my garage that will handle the 140 plus correct extention cord if needed.Never used A Camble-Housefield welder but use thier air tools almost daily good stuff,I to have used the Lincoln 100 in the past with much success lot of power for it's size you can do some thicker stuff with proper preperation and multiple passes.

After watching a Lincoln 140 demo and running a couple of beads at NSRA Burlington in September, I would for sure buy this outfit - but since I already have a little Lincoln MIG that works fine, couldn't see the expense just to have one with a few more bells and whistles. But it sure was nice to use:) and tempting:HMMM:

As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't buy any MIG but these - and in order - for future parts and service plus possible resale later:

Do you recall witch 140 the demo was for, The 140Tapped or the 140C Continuous voltage. price is A lot more and I dont think I need the 140C with the continuous voltage IM not going to be making metal sculptures ETC.Not that talented :LOL: thanx for your input.

I honestly do not remember which - I wasn't really interested but the rep said it was a brand new version and I think he was bored and really wanted someone to talk to on a Thursday afternoon:LOL:

Must be something like that chipmunk that lives in my garage that I talk to - he knows that if I catch him in my Hav-a-heart trap that it will be a one way 6 mile trip to a local park to rejoin his relatives moved earlier.
