i know how he felt
Man hurt using gun to change tyre
The man had removed all but one of the wheel nuts
A US man has injured himself in both legs after attempting to loosen a stiff wheel-nut by blasting it with his gun.
The 66-year-old man from Washington state was repairing his car outside his home when the accident took place.
Shooting at the wheel from arm's length with his 12-gauge shotgun, he was peppered with buckshot and debris.
The man - whom police say was on his own and not intoxicated - was taken to hospital with severe, but not life-threatening, injuries.
The man, from South Kitsap, 10 miles (16km) southwest of Seattle, had been repairing his Lincoln Continental for two weeks, according to the police, and had removed all but one of the nuts on the right rear wheel.
Frustrated by the one remaining nut which refused to budge, he resorted to fire power in an effort to shift it.
"He's bound and determined to get that lug nut off," said Deputy Scott Wilson, a spokesman from the sheriff's office.
He sustained injuries from his feet to the middle of his abdomen, with some pellets reaching as high as his chin, police said.

yeah right! its his story and i quess he's sticking to it ..im thinking he really decided to take old troublesome Lincoln out .. :D
-
Ehh, if he was dumb enough to do that, oh well.
-
Thats like the old macco commercial ,where they shoot the old pony{ford mustang }and put it out of its misery.
He should have used the 30/30
-
i can understand a teenager watching a movie and believing a person could shoot a wheel off his car but not a 66 year old man . i did once shoot a poorly running lawn mower and stopped it dead though and tossed it in a creek  ..neighbors stayed away from me for quite some time :HMMM:

I would have gargled with whisky before calling the ambulance, I'd much rather it say I was drunk and did it than was sober. what a frickin' moron. sad thing is by 66 he has probably already spawned more.

He obviously knew he was a bad shot, that's why he used the shot gun.:D

Probably the same guy who last year was severely burned when trying to drain the gas out of his running car's gas tank with a wet/dry vac.
Like they say.....just a little spark is all you need......and KABOOM!
Sorry, I know it's not politically correct to laugh at idiots, but it sure is fun.

This reminds me of my "Dog Wrestling" story. I was changing a flat on my car at home and had 4 out of 5 lugs off, although they were tight. Just then my wife requested assistance at getting our 80 pound Lab into her stationwagon to take him to the Veterinarian but he did not want to get into the wagon. Anyway I got the dog into the car after about three minutes of "dog wrestling" and went back to get that last lug off but by that time I was in a "wrestling mood" so I really planted that left leg and pulled up on the lug wrench and then "pop" and "owwwwwwww!" my left hamstring tore partially away from my glutius maximus! By that time my wife had left and I was by myself so I had to crawl back to the house leaving that lug still there! It took two weeks on crutches before I could walk again. The moral is 1) stay cool when messing with a lug, and 2) avoid dog wrestling after the age of 50! My son later finished changing the flat!
