DennyW, I recall you lightened up a picture for me over a year ago. I am attaching today's work which is the first progress on my car in over a year, noting I have sent it to the Deuce Den also for a discussion of windshield installation. I guess my batteries in the camera are low but I took four pictures and they all came out dark. I brought it up under PAINT but could not figure out how to "lighten" it. I still have the white '29 roadster picture that you made into maroon for me so that shows what you could do for the F100 problem here. Anyway here is my new windshield.

You might want to try downloading Gimp, it'e free and about as powerful as Photoshop. The problem with both is that they take a while to learn and become proficient at.

At least with Gimp if you get discouraged you don't have a ton of money invested in it.

here is a couple shots of one. i am going with a cowl hood also,
the color i am thinking about is a dodge color. it is inferno red crystal pearl.
this is the best pic i could find of it.

the maroon on the 29 roadster is similar to the color i want also.

looks cool. wish i could do that. i got the gimp program mentioned. I just cant seem to find the method for complete color change while keeping the original shadows and contrast.

the original had a lighter area and the new one has the exact same area lightened in red.
i will try more tonight.
i kept trying the pic section by color and air brushing. got patchy.
do they make a pad that you can use a simulated pencil on instead of trying to use mouse control?

got another question sorry.
on this pic of a friends truck i did for him. if i change the color, is there a program i can use to keep the gloss in the paint like it is. or will I always loose the gloss when computer changing colors.
I have been doing some and now i can keep the body lines unlike before,but i loose the realistic paint look and it looks obviously computer done.
Which isnt a problem, but trying to get a good idea on the color before i spend the big bucks on paint. House of color had a program i thought. but it doesnt have my vehicle in it.
Havent been able to find the program that i tried last year on there site.
