Don't take the word of the guy who came by. Talk to the landlord. Word of mouth often gets distorted. In the meantime, clean it up as much as you can and put wheels in on the truck.

Well, rotten person that I am if I was NOT subject to the rules of their association and somebody was complaining just to be a jerk as soon as I found a house to move into I would do everything I could to make my last couple weeks in their neighborhood as bad as LEGALLY possible!!!! I have no time at all for a bunch of do-gooders telling me how to live my life, and I would sure as heck make sure they had some things to complain about!!!! Also, I would be sure to smile and wave whenever I saw them!!!!!! not that I would recomend that sort of action for anyone else......
Tried to call the landlord to speak to him about this in a CIVIL matter but he hasnt returned my call ..:whacked:Quote:

But what I'm trying to say is that one man's treasure is another man's trash
i fully understand and agree.. It just urks me because Ive had the impala sitting under a cover for 6 months now with no complaints.. In fact when a few older people walk by that often ask about it in a friendly way..But now in less then a week of the truck being torn apart which I really didnt have a choice they want to make it a big issue.. Combined with my harassment over my dog and not even really being in there covenant district its really annoying .
Well, if you're not subject to their covenants, there's nothing they can do - unless there's a city ordinance that covers it.
im with dave on this one "CHUCK UM" ..i have had the same troubles in the past and there isnt much you can do but move and hopefully some time in the near future their little community will turn into one big crack house like my former community of butte wipes did!Quote:

It is all absolute BS! What I say is if they are going to help me pay my property taxes then they can dictate how I use my property. I can understand wanting things to look good, but this is just out of control. Why can't somebody have a canopy in their driveway to keep their car that doesn't fit in the garage nice? I had a neighbor down the way that had a very nice one out there for a few days around the 4th of july.
the crazy thing is that they don't usually enforce anything without a complaint, if a complaint is made they will go out and try to find something to fit it under just to penalize you. i could tell the whole story about my uncle having to move his trailer, but it just makes me angry. (I would have fought it, got a court ruling against the county, but he wouldn't).
the country is getting out of hand. my coworker pointed out today that God only gave 10 laws, and look where we are at now.

After you move it might be enjoyable to drive through the neighbor hood with your hot rod from time to time, just to let them know your still around.
