09-21-2007 10:48 AM #1Anyone know how to turn on my usb ports on laptop?

I hope it something simple but I have no clue. I have a wire less mouse and camera that I regularly plug in to the usb ports with no problems until know. When I plug in my camera (powered off)the screen on the camera turns on as usual and when I push the button to save photos after about 2-3 minutes it pops up a no connection screen. My plug in mouse no longer works either. How can I fix this ? Friends dont let friends drive fords!

 Start/Settings/Control Panel/System

 Then select the hardware tab
 Click the Device Manager Button

Bottom of the list is USB controllers
Expand the list, right click, and select enable.

Yes, windows allows remote desktop, where someone can access your computer
remotely. windows xp up has the program right in it. Widely used by IT people.

If it's Windows Vista, it's prolly gonna happen again, it attempts to change things to go faster, but only screws it up. I had driver issues w/ my brand new laptop within a week of getting it cause of vista, and more recently again, with the wireless. You don't know what you've got til it's gone
