I'm not sure I follow what you're saying here. Personally, I can't conceive of the parts industry not being on the same wave length as "us" in shaping the the history of the hobby. If a manufacturer doesn't make what the hobbyists want his sales won't support his continued existence. I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
