I like the boat, looks cool!
I guess we had the good boats, I had a 18' Sagner flat bottom with a carb'd 454 with V-drive, my brother had a custom painted 18' Sagner Pickle fork with a blown (overdriv'n) and injected 454 1400hp, 15% overdrive V-drive, we did normal maintenance on his motor and never broke anything in 3yrs, then he ripped the wrist pin out of a piston, fixed his, drove them another 3yrs then I sold mine, and bought a house, his burned in a fire parked in his yard. these were everyday boats, and pulled skiers with both.
Use to scare the pi.. out of some passengers, I would just release the cavitation plate, and start doing 30 ft leaps out of the water
and then pull full pate in air and stick like glue and go! with my flat bottom I could turn at full throttle and slid the rear around and come off on the tail and go. It was a blast the whole time I owned it.
We were band, but never ticketed on 3 lakes around here, but that left 9997 lakes left in Mn.
Darn, Now I miss it again!
