C'mon Wrench, not a whole bunch of ponchy beer swillers are going to step up and admit they use one.... Seriously, I too got to that point and decided to do something about it. I got on the bike religiously and it did wonders for every part of my aging body. Worked up to a higher mile count every week and it dropped the gut, got the shoulders and arms going well and strengthened my back up to a point it doesn't bother me. Let's not mention the legs.
