Nice 69 C10, looks clean. What kind of metal did you play John?
[QUOTE=Novanutcase]Novanutcase, The Metal Years!
Where you play at in your metal years, John?
We used to do it all. Gazarri's, The Whiskey, The Troubadour, The Roxy. We sucked  but it was alot of fun! :D Matter of fact the guitar player I used to jam with will be playing our car show on July 14. You should try to make it!:D

Man you played all the socal metal places, were you around in the heydey ,or did you come in later?
Thats me on the far right, my wife in the middle. She's a great lead singer, but we both wish we were that skinny again!
Well, it was in the mist of the 80's hair band days. It was a pretty popular place (Hollywood) at the time, but I think the real talent was long gone by the time we rolled around!!!  :LOL:Quote:

We weren't really a metal band as much as we were a speed metal/punk band. I guess if you had to classify us we had a stage show like Alice Cooper but were more punk/metal/blues/alternative. Kind of like Old Iggy Pop. You know, Search and Destroy!!!
Once we signed to Warner Brothers we toured with Nirvana when they came out with "Smells like Teen Spirit" on the first half of our first Euro tour and ended that tour with a little L.A. band called The Cramps! Did a lot of Canadian tours and saw Japan/Taiwan/Phillipines/Korea along with Australia and New Zealand a few times! For some strange reason we never toured US as a whole other than the west coast!(God Damn managers!!)
John
I wish I was still motivated to play live! I got so burnt out touring I just don;t have it in me to lug my gear around to play!:CRY:Quote:

Thats cool you toured with the cramps, i really never cared for nirvana though, what was your band called? I grew up in socal , and listen to metal and punk.
We were called Haunted Garage!(Singers idea. I never really cared for the name but I didn't care I was young and having fun!)Quote:

I love Lux and Ivy! They were so North/South! Complete freaks on stage but total homebodies off! I will say that after having heard "Surfing Bird" umpteen times I'm pretty much over that song!LOL!! The coolest part was my friend Nick was playing drums for them at the time so I got to hang out with him all over Europe!

LOL's!!! I know your pain...or in my case...gain! LOL's. All jokes aside....my ex was part of my life for 18 years.....its hard to completely let go. Its funny....she said she didnt know how I could be so mad but still feel the way I do about her. Actually wanted to get divorced with hopes of getting back together. Total confusion. <thought to self> "Maybe I am crazy?"....LOL's!Quote:

I bought my 15 year old a very restorable 68 Triumph Spitfire. I could barely get him out of the house by 10am to help sand. He's not a bad kid. Just not interested......but he will sit and talk the talk....just doesnt want to do the work. LOL's!

David
sometimes it just works out that way , my own son is not interested in anything that
im aware of he couldnt tell you the difference in a spark plug or an oil plug
and him being raised by a biker didnt help much , i bought him 59 panhead to work on
he never touched it , i got him a 69 chevell SS with a 396 factory 4 speed number matching complete car
he wanted a rice burner like his friends..
but my baby girl is all over that motorhead thang <thank you jesus> she has her own
zero gravity spray gun and air brush that has gotten her a scholarship at mississippi state
for art , shes taking welding at school and can weld better than me :D she changes her own oil in her
truck as well as the other maint. theres not enough words i can say to brag on my baby girl:D
