That's one of the great things about the net! Through "classmates.com", I got in touch with a couple of my old high school classmates from the class of '66.

Later, one of my hardcore car buddies found my website, and contacted me.

After that, I found that my home town, in the midwest (Danville, Illinois) has a website, so I post a message on the bulletin board, and heard from a couple more of my "car buddies".

    Great stuff!

Hey Bob, thanks for the picture. Didn't knew you flew in Nam. How long were you in for?

Total hitch was 3 year, 9 month (got an early out for school). Spent 13 months (101 missions) in the not so friendly skies.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Always wanted to be a pilot. My dad flew P-47's in WW2. Was shot down over germany. Gave me the 9m luger he took from a german officer. He also flew the p51 mustang's for about 2 months. He said nothing could touch the 47's over 20,000 ft.
