Then we started covering the interior parts, I bought 2 4x8 sheets of 1/8 PVC plastic to make the panels. The headliner was the most challenging, it took a complete 4x8 sheet, Lol. I made it in 2 piece's so it wouldn't be so difficult to handle, then we just took to a local upholstery shop to cover and bought extra material to cover some other panels. Also didn't like the look with out some kind of trim to break up such a big area so I searched around and found some aluminum strips with vinyl insert and end caps from a marine supply house.

I just caught up on this build, every thing you've done is really awesome. I like watching your interior work right now because that's one thing I haven't tried yet but I have not ruled it out. Thanks for sharing!!

Hey Seth, thanks. Yes the interior panels can be a little intimidating but I guess it just depends on how professional you need it to look and worst is have to wait weeks if not months on a upholstery shop. We know we cant do the seats but there in pretty good shape so we're using them as is for now and the panels look really good, so we're happy with it.

I had make room for the overdrive larger case so I sliced the removeable trans cover down the middle to spread it apart and up, then added a section to close the gap. Now the shifter sticks up through the floor and I needed a flat surface to secure the shifter boot, I just made a neat little box and that will be covered with carpet or vinyl.

Very nice work on the interior! I'm hoping to do the same with mine. Back to the engine disguising, I am hoping to hide an LS in my uncle's 63 vette as a 327. I have aplan to modify a truck intake to mimic a fuel injection system in 63. It won't be ideal but I bet I can fool him.
