Very nicely done! The colors are very unique and will certainly make the car stand out from the crowd! What will the engine and drivetrain consist of?

Yep that's what we were going for, something a little bit different. The engine is a old school 327! runs great so I see no reason to go into it, don't care for high power or noisy cam in this car. Just wanta roll down the road. It had a TB-400 3 speed so I did go back with a 700R-4 OD. The rear-end is corvette IRS with 4 Carrera shocks, front is mustang II. It seemed to be a pretty nice car when it was originally built maybe 20 plus years ago. Its all steel except the fenders of course and chopped 3.5 inches.
That's looking very nice!
..........nice!..........
I stripped all the accessories off the engine, cleaned and wire brushed it then sprayed it will semi-black ceramic. Rather that putting the old alt, AC comp and water pump we opted to buy new chrome.
I'll never *hail mary* chrome under the hood again.
Tough environment and I'm too lazy to maintain.
Beautiful mill though.
Wow! Beautiful car and awesome paint job!. Is this what you do for a living?
Thanks, no I don't do it for a living but its always been a passion of mine. I've always been surrounded by self motivated people, my Dad owned a operated his own garage and my Uncle was a auto painter so it kinda came naturally. Then when I was in my early 20's I paid a shop to paint my 65 mustang thinking I would be happy with there work, I wasn't, so I made the decision the only way I was going to be satisfied was to learn to do it all myself. I've built some really nice cars over the years, many paint awards, even magazines.
I've been building my Rescue 67 Camaro for a few years now but it got pushed aside while we finish the current 34.
That's some real nice tubing work on the 'maro! Going to be a Super Gas car maybe?
That Camaro is almost as nice as that F-1! LOL.. 8-)
Beautiful work!
Thanks!, I doubt I'll run the Camaro in any particular class but I am building so it will pass cage cert. It's basically going to be a Badass street car. 374 SBC with ATI Pro charger or 540 BBC.
The 48 F-100 is a really nice cruiser, the entire drive train is 95 T-Bird, independent front and rear suspension that we grafted to the original truck frame. 4.6 V8 with all the creature comforts from the T-Bird. My best friend and his dad did most of the mechanical mods and I did all the body and paint work.
Awesome work! I really like the cover up with the valve cover adapters and manifold "heat shields". Your Camaro is awesome! I've been wanting to do something similar to run Rocky mountain drag week or sick week. I had a 68 Camaro shell to use but sold it last fall. I have a 72 Nova now that has a partial cage but I'm not much of a nova guy so we shall see. Great work once again.
