What did I get
Disclaimer: Decided to break out a response into it's own post so as to not "commingle" with another build thread:

After a rough start of the year, an earlier than expected retirement to take care of terminally ill family out of state, and much soul searching, I sold my long term, Grabber Orange 69 GT500 fastback, 427SC Contemporary Cobra replica, and Caterham "7", and purchased this ex-Division II Grabber Orange 70 GT350 convertible. Been sitting in dry storage, as part of a larger collection since the mid 90's, May have actually been used as a parts car for other concourse cars in the same collection during it's time in storage. Now giving it some love to get the mechanical/electrical bugs worked out and back on the road.

In addition to the above, I also purchased a SPF 289 roadster replica, built in 2019 and driven less than 3,000 miles by it's two previous owners. Arrived just before the loss of my mother, and currently sitting awaiting my head to clear so I can work the bugs out of it as well. Attachment 74309
Only time will tell when they might be ready for the road again.

I'm sorry for your loss of your Mother, and totally understand the need to let your head clear. I walked by the roadster sitting in the barn for nearly three years, rarely touching it, and didn't drive the coupe often, either.
Both are fantastic cars, and beautiful as they sit! I really like the look of the early 289 Cobras!

I too am sorry for your loss.
They both look like very nice cars. They will be waiting for you when you to get to the point where you want to work on them.
Love the color on the Cobra!

Me also, so sorry to hear of your loss. An Orange convertible is always a winner, and a Shelby to boot.

Sorry to hear about your mother Bill, I lost my dad, but still have my mom. I think no matter how old we get, we still I feel like orphans when we lose parents.
The cars look awesome, The Mustang is by far the nicest parts car I've ever seen

Lost my sister last January, yesterday was the one year anniversary. Interned my mother on new years eve, 2021 just wanted to kick my family just one more time before it left us behind. The new year is looking a little better family wise, as we have two grand nieces in the works. Car wise, my head is not quite wrapped around them at the moment, maybe in March, as always, only time will tell.

So sorry to hear about your Mom. The new cars look to be really first rate after a bit of TLC. Hope things get better for you soon, been there and know full well how it hurts!
