A unusual one I bought last year

I picked up a 65 Mercury Montclair breezeway sedan that had a 3 speed on the column and overdrive,it also has a/c and delayed wipers. I think it sat since the late 70s and had a fresh and the original 390 had been rebuilt and never fired, next step is exhaust but every saturday this year I have been busy and could not get a estimate on dual exhaust. it needs a solenoid for the o/d and syncronizers for second gear so I picked up a regular 3 speed while the trans gets fixed.

Wow, a survivor! Like a time capsule to show how things were "back then". Pile in the grand kids or a couple of friends for an ice cream down town on Saturday night. Nice!

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I agree, that one is surely a survivor. looks to be in very nice shape too.

My dad had a 66 (I think) it had the rear electric window, 390 with auto. It was a really nice road car, loved the 390 so powerful and smooth. Had no idea they made them with a manual trans.

I worked with a guy that had one. earlier year than yours tho'.. I remember the lower A-arms were allowed to pivot to aid in smoothing out the ride.. made for lousy handling! But it rode nice. LOL.
