That's a good one Roger!! LOL...
That's funny!!!!!
Been awhile since I've been on here, thought I better give an update on the 48. I had my metal guy make some new running board brackets to replace my rusted out ones, he did a fantastic job! I also had him make taillight brackets, I had the drivers and he made a passenger to match, again he did an amazing job! Next I'm going to give him my original rims and he is going to widen them for me so I can fit a normal size 16 inch tire on them, I want to keep the original look with the hubcaps on it. I had some dripping on my foot as you can see in the picture, I followed the trail up and it wasn't too hard to find:LOL: I've been driving it around more and more, getting used to the double clutch, but still trying to master the down shift for going around corners.
some more pics
Looks great, Seth! Lots of character in that old Dodge.
Well this could be the last on the 48 posts. I got it pretty well finished up, it needs a few things but it's going to a new home. On a FB Dodge group I mentioned it was going to go for sale after the previous owner got to see it in person. I got a PM from a young man in Kansas who was looking for a nice original just like mine to drive. We made a deal and he is picking it up Sat. I'm real happy after talking to him on the phone, he is restoring his grandpas 49 at the moment and this one was just like his. I was fun to drive but it required a lot of babysitting and I'm past that point. Just between you and me, I made a fair amount of money on it ! It's fun to play with the all the toys but not own them all. :)
Nice pictures! Those old Dodges are cool, don't see them very often.
Sounds like a win win for both of you. Glad you had the time to enjoy it.
Hmmmmmmm, Whatever will I do now???:LOL:
The old Dodge is kind of like my 47 Stude, you just don't see them. Last time at Hot August Nights in Reno we didn't see a single one.
