I got two coats of paint on and for the third time in a row my air compressor died while painting. It wouldn't have been the end of the world but the last time my compressor quit I tried starting my gas one the pull rope pulled out of the engine. I wish I would have not put that on my fix it later list. I had to go to plan C and that was run to work and grab our service pickup and use that air compressor. I decided 3 times is enough and bought a new compressor today from Fleet Farm. They had a 17 cfm Sanborn advertised for $1,300 and had it on hand, but then I seen Menards had the same one on sale for $990 but had to order it. Being the Dutch person I am, I called FF about it and they said they would match the Menards price. When I went to pick it up I got another 10% off for "applying " for their credit card so in the end I got it for $915.
This thing should kick the butt out of my 20 yr old, 11 cfm Sanborn that it's replacing, maybe I can sandblast without stopping now
The plan after painting the frame is to take the remaining plastic pieces off the tractor and paint them and the one old fender and the steps. After that, I'll sandblast the wheels and paint them.
