Thanks Ryan.
That barb was intended for Seth. (53Chevy 5)
He had assembled a gorgeous pickemup and then decided he didn't like the 348... so then he pulls the motor and does an LS I believe. I couldn't believe it!
All that fresh paint!! But he pulled it off and did the swap and you can't tell!
I think it was Roger who mentioned putting the 348 in my 82 Z28 also :LOL: The difference is the 4.6 is still a good motor, Maybe the 348 is too but not for me.:( He's right on the motor swap, a decision had to be mad fast and it well well. One scratch of paint in the engine compartment was the only damage. It was still the best thing I did to the pickup. I was pretty green on the Ls motors at the time and I thought the LS1 was the 5.3, they are not so I have a 5.3, not an LS1.
Working away. Filling in the spare tire tube had to move the trunk floor over the axle back 6" for a crossmember to support the coil over springs.Attachment 69788 Attachment 69789 Attachment 69790 Attachment 69791: DAttachment 69792
Awesome work! How did you match that floor pattern on your filler piece?
Very nice metal work! Did you cut the center part out of another trunk floor for your filler panel? It looks oe!
Metal work done underneath and expoxied.Attachment 69957 Attachment 69958 Attachment 69959 [ATTACH]69960

OMG, that looks beauitful! To pretty to be underneath. I like the color too.
I don't hate it, that's for sure. Beutiful !
Crikey!
That's bloody gorgeous!
Times 5! That is sweet! Nice work there..
Wow, that looks amazing! Now that mod engine looks like something!
Being back on Crown Vic for awhile now and the body work is pretty well all done. Now working on engine bay. Trying to cover up all the wiring for this 4.6 and there is a lot of it which is being a challenge.Attachment 70934 Attachment 70935 Attachment 70936 Attachment 70937 Attachment 70938
Don't know why the top three are upside down sorry about that.
I feel your pain, I'm doing wiring right now. Looks like you put a lot of work into that air box. Going to be a great looking car.
It's looking really nice and that air box is killer.
Thanks guys. Engine bay is a lot of work.
I agree with the others. Gonna be a beauty for sure.
Your making some serious progress on it, wiring takes forever though. Do you have any pics of the finished body ?
Don't have any yet,it's just in primer. It is leaving again end of month I will take some pic outside before it goes. Hopefully will be back in spring to finish paint.
Panel fabricating all done.Attachment 70950 Attachment 70951 Attachment 70952 Attachment 70953 Attachment 70954
Going to be a really kewl old Ford when it's done! Just curious, is the color on the valve covers what will be on the outside of the car?
Done for a little while. Hope to have it back in spring to finish paint. Attachment 70995 Attachment 70996 Attachment 70997
Very cool, going to be a nice car. Really like the body lines on this model.
That is looking awesome!
Thanks guys. It will be nice to get it finished. It has been 5yrs now.
I'm one of THOSE. I'd drive it just as it is.
Plus lights, that is.
That car is gorgeous !!!!
