Really Good tip.

I put a new floor in a boat once and fiber glassed the whole thing. It didn't suck :HMMM:
I think I would fiberglass the whole thing while I was at it, but if you don't, I think I would used treated plywood. On second thought, that stuff warps like crazy. I think I'd glass all of it.
I was just thinking of how I did that boat, I remember now that I used bed liner spray for protection on the wood that I didn't fiberglass.
That sounds like a great idea. I will do that. Should I use fiberglass mat over the whole wood surface, or just resin?
I'm not an expert on fiberglass by any stretch of the imagination, but I think the glass part is mainly for strength around the corners and such. I would see no need for putting the glass over the main part of the board, I think I would just use resin or bedliner myself . I think it's fun watching your T-Bucket come together. I've never thought about building one before ,but you got me thinking about it now. I better get the rest of my irons out of the fire first though LOL.
That's what I was thinking, just resin over most of the board. It amazes me how some of you guys juggle three or four projects at once. I have enough on my hands dealing with one car. Lol. Although this week my main goal is fencing in my back yard, to give my dog more space to run around.
There has been very little progress to report lately on the hot rod. That is due to the new fence I am building, and painting, in my back yard. Like every other project I take on, this thing seems like twice as much work as I had anticipated!
I am doing this primarily so my dog can run around freely without a leash or cable. I hope the little guy appreciates this!

I can see his excitement.
He looks SO excited! LOL..
6 footer? Were you expecting him to jump over it.. or are you making good neighbors? Folks figure a fence should go up in a day or less. But like so many things in life, to do it right, so it'll withstand just about any storm and not blow over etc. etc., it takes time to dig all those holes and get them deep enough too.
It's looking good from my Lazy Boy.:LOL::LOL:
Very nice fence work. Our small Husky climbs our 4 foot fence with ease. What a PITA she is!
Yep, it's a 6 footer. Both to keep the dog in and to add a bit of privacy.
I cut out a cardboard template of the floor, and then transferred that to a piece of 3/4" oak plywood, and cut it out.

Progress is progress.
Times 2! Progress is Progress and any is good.
I built a dash/windshield support bar. It bolts to a couple brackets that I welded to the frame. The two lower metal plates rest against the back of the fiberglass dash. The other two plates bolt on from the front of the dash and “sandwich “ the dashboard. Later, I will attach the windshield to the two front plates.
