Seth, the seat does look nice. I agree, I like the one you showed him better first. I feel your pain with the not wanting to cause any issues situation. Some things create more drama and issues than it is worth. But, maybe running it by him to make another cover this winter to suite your liking better will be an easy thing to agree on.

Also: my .02 based on what I learned about upholstery when I stitched my 74 Vega:

The seat covers can be pulled off, seam ripped, and the center panels modified: then reassembled without needing to remake everything.

I'll see once this winter what we want to do, my wife says it's fine and It's not like I hate it. I'm sure he will treat me right on changing some of it if we decide to talk to him about it .
