Yes, the "squirrel cage" type fan is what we used. It moves volumes of air without blowing any dust. We just let the plastic hang down and put 2x4's on the bottom to hold it down. You can use anything heavy enough though to hold the plastic in place.
Here's a tip .................never wet the floor before painting!!!.........reason being is as the water drys out , it allows dust to float in the air. Best thing you can do is make sure the area is washed out the day before you paint.

That's great info! The body shop I worked at, we always wet the floors down. That booth had a spray nozzle system a long the walls that would spray on the floor and had a system to turn it on and off. (I'm pretty sure they were a produce spray nozzle set up) The down fall to that is nothing in that booth could be close to the floor during the painting.Ryan
