Oh, come on! I know you own a welder, lets get mama's minivan converted to RWD and V8 power! Just tell her it's going in the shop for a tune up and surprise her.

Fired right up on the first try; that don't happen very often!

That's awesome, can't say I've ever heard an Astro sound that good!
That is awesome! Congrats!
Sure am glad I put those chrome valve covers on, Lol! (Trust me, they're in there)
Just about got it wrapped up. I really wanted to put new exhaust on but it just wasn't in the budget right now. When I put the 307 in I just built a dual 2 1/4" y pipe and took it into a 3" single with a MagnaFlow muffler so I went ahead and redid the Y pipe to fit the headers for now.
Everything is pretty much back together, got my shifter built, clutch is working good and engine sounds good. Even got the A/c working which is a plus. Just need to program a chip for it, change the shock and brakes, and it's ready for a road test.
Hey, I spot a wee bit of bling on the engine now, very cool. We will require a video of her running through the complete exhaust system though just to hear the sound please.
I'm seriously thinking of fitting limefires with pipes into one muffler and one 3" exit pipe underneath to the rear of my Roadster so would like to hear something to help make my decision thanks.
Nice to see you're pretty much done with it. I doubt I go to KC now. I'm just going to Newton and that's it. Have too much to do on my car to take days off doing nothing.
Ryan, I sent you my cell number on a PM; give me a call if you make it to Newton.
Mark, I'll get a running video up this weekend so you can hear it.
Pat, your PM basket is full.
Man, that's weird; it says I only have 2 messages in my inbox.
That is weird. The forum still says it is full. How about your sent box?
Hey Ryan, I got your message and will give you a ring this evening.
I've been driving the van all week and it seems to be running great except the clutch pedal is really stiff. I took it to a friend of mine who is an old circle track racer and he said the piston diameter in the stock clutch master cylinder looks really small (1/2") and is probably not moving a big enough volume of fluid to move the slave cylinder easily. So I'm going to switch to a Wilwood clutch master with a 1" piston bore; should solve the problem, I hope. No time to do it before the Power Tour this week so I'll live with it for the trip. My left leg should be in good shape by the time I get home!
