The reason I said that, is that the '46 had the rectangular park lights set between the lights, and the grille bars were 'fluted' horizontally with a narrow pinstripe through the middle of them, apart from the top bar where there were four or five vertical lines each side.
So the top bar of your grille looks to be correct for '46, as do the park lights, but the horizontal bars don't appear to have that fluting in them.
Which makes them appear to be '47 or '48.

It's not a major issue; I've got the wrong trim in the grille of our car, it's a '47 with '46 trim . . . our grille was absolutely rotten when we bought the car, but I was fortunate enough to find a mint '46 grille at a swap meet . . . and the price was right!
So the swap was made.

From memory too, (it's a long time since I looked at an 'untouched' '46,) the quarterlight windows wound out; whereas the '47/8 pushed out to open.

Hope this is of some use to you.

(Argh! Curses! I can't add a smiley face . . . forgot I'm on 'quick reply' rather than 'advanced'!)
