I like the looks of the car Randy posted, but I wouldn't build that. Just not me.

If I decide to do the drag wheels and tires, the rear would be a Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial 315/60R15 (30" in diameter, 12" tread width) and a Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R 26x6.00R17LT in the front (26" diameter, designed to go on the 4.5" wide wheel). That gives me 4" of 'rubber rake'.

This is a VERY common setup and has been offered for many years and I don't see 15" wheels and drag tires disappearing any time soon.... but I'm still open for suggestions.

Mike Curtis has agreed to sell me just the blanks to machine my own wheels. Could still go that route.

You'd be surprised what is really available in 15's until you start searching. Now imagine in 5yrs, let alone 10, down the road. I can't give you much help on wheels. I had a heck of a time trying to find something i liked in my price range, and yet different as well.

    Took three months...

Turns out they shipped one spindle reamed for the kingpins and one - not - reamed for the kingpin. At least one spindle will be returned on their dime. NOT a happy customer, but we will see how they handle this....

Can't blame you.. so much for quality control standards.

I hope they take care of this for you.

Mike called first thing this morning and offered to send a call tag to have the part picked up so they could do the work back in California. He said same day turn around. I also pointed out that Wilwood doesn't include the castle nut for the spindle in their kit...and perhaps they should send the nut with the spindles in the future. He's including a couple castle nuts too. Sounds good to me.

Man that stinks. Hopefully the boat doesn't sink and make it a 3 month wait again.

They'll send it on an aluminum cloud.... I like the idea of sending it back so that they know of their mistake, and more so that they'll be more likely to stand behind it as time goes by.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
