I've got the frame pretty well sanded down other than the two short round cross members - one where the ladder bars mount and the one for the tranny mount that drops out. I'm waiting for Amazon on the blast nozzle - checked TSC and they show free curbside pickup for the fine grit black diamond media at my store, so I'll likely pick up a bag next time I'm over that way.

As I was sanding the frame I found these four little pilot holes on each frame rail, about 3" in front of the front cross member. They were 3/32" and virtually invisible with the black paint. I had no idea what they were for, and the instructions for the IFS didn't show them used so I ended up calling Jason Slover at Pete & Jakes, knowing that he'd been around when this frame was sold back in 2009 and not wanting to weld them and then learn that they're needed. He quickly told me that they were where the brace for the front fender bolts on, and that the only other holes in that area forward of the cross member were the two on each side for the spreader bar. He offered on a highboy they should just be welded and ground smooth. Gotta love Pete & Jake's!
It amazes me how many things the PO didn't do before he shot primer and paint on this frame! I think it was because the friend that was "helping" had a fat fender Chevy, so if he even did body off he likely just cleaned & painted, then started putting stuff back on.... The holes are gone now.
