Thanks guys, its been going great with the truck. I've been driving it around town to see what the kinks are and its going pretty good so far. As far as my buddy, its age thing mostly, he is getting up there in age and moving much slower and not getting out and driving his rides lately. So I thought taking the truck to him would make is day and it did. It made mine also he is a great auto painter and he complimented the paint job.My Chevy Truck Project

I did not notice many thumps up but I did get looks maybe because the truck is loud.lol Mean stares are cool its fun pissing snooty people off sometimes.lol Some people are kill joys so I rev the engine on them.lol Seriously though the wife is a lot of fun to hang out with because she has a very out going personality and I am more of a introvert. She makes me laugh and have fun and just loosen up and has being doing it for over 30 years.
BTW the video is extremely edited she was on one that day.lol She was in a very good mood and having fun.Last edited by BAM55; 04-28-2021 at 02:02 PM.

LOL BAM! I know EXACTLY what you mean by pissing off the snooty people! When I'm in the "33 Coupe, which is kinda loud with the Lake Style Headers, and pull up to a stop light in town it's a HOOT to look over and see one of the local "Matrons" who consider themselves to be a cut above the Riff-Raff, sitting there in their Prius doing everything they can to ignore this loud, obnoxious "Hot Rod" sitting next to them, not even registering that I'm likely 15 years older and may have sat in meetings with their husbands at some time! Probably doesn't help when I jump on it and drown out their listening to PBS as we leave the light....
I loved your wife's "commentary" on the ride, and yes, she was definitely "ON"! Enjoy every minute, my friend!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

LOL. Yeah I don't get it. I don't care what people are into as long as they are not hurting anybody. It makes me happy when I see people having a good time and enjoying themselves. Its like those people when kids are playing outside telling children to be quiet. As far as we know we only get one go around and we better have a good time because as far as we know there are no do overs. Kill joys really piss me off. I like to see people smile, laugh and enjoy life. I don't have to like what you like, I like the fact that you found something you enjoy and it makes you happy. So I say Rev your engines at the kill joys of the world.lolLast edited by BAM55; 04-28-2021 at 05:59 PM.

That's awesome Bam! I hope your friend gets to feeling better and can get out and enjoy his rides. Have you had any comments or head scratchers on the hood? I'm betting you have. Such a cool touch!

Thanks man for the comments about the truck and my buddy.
I took the truck to the local meet and greet last weekend and the truck received a lot of attention, but nobody noticed the hood.lol The noticed the dash and the bed wood mostly. A couple of people nice the shaved drip rails. The just keep saying something is different but I never told them what it was because none of the asked me. I just listen them talk about what was different. It was fun.
Btw: The only question they did ask me was how I got that wide tire in the rear.Last edited by BAM55; 04-28-2021 at 03:13 PM.
