Parkwood-got two items for you today----

I'm not sure if I'll get away to go to the CHRR at Bakersfield, but if I do I'll be around the pit with Cruz Pedregon and the California Charger ( or near by)

And an area I'm totally sure that you will do perfect, but I'd like to call attention to it for others to be aware of in their builds---------The dipstick (SS braided hose) for the tranny is mounted in an area that will have sparkplug wires run nearby, and the torqueing of the block with the dipstick fastened to the body will/can cause some abrasive wear on the plug wires, followed by all kinds of weird electrical happenings besides the ignition/plug misfire--------For instants----maybe a high voltage shock when you move the shifter(especially reverse with the engine shifting over) crossfiring to other cylinders, erratic electronic guage readings, etc and worst of all-----when that scantily clad rollerskating waitress brings you that order and touches your car, she'll probably spill the root beer all over the door and you--------

First if you do make it to Bakersfield i'll look for you if i can find Cruz's pit.. we'll be in a '32 roadster (pictured) dark green, looks black.. it'll have a hard top painted the color of the car... flames down the side.. My friend has painted 3 dragsters that will be on display at the track and one i think at the host hotel on Friday night for the cacklefest they have there...
Second yes i know about the shock effect on the plug wires and was looking at mine today after we put the diet. back in and mine do touch just a little.. i think i'll put a clear piece of tube on the dip stick right where it touchs the wire.. but getting trailered every where i should never wear through... wait i just got some bad taste in my mouth...

Hope to see you but seems like it will be impossible to get away this week-wife has other family plans---couple days with her 89 year old mother, Saturday at pumpkin patch with 4 month old grandson and lists of things she wants me to finish so we can sell this place and leave Illinois!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And green used to be one of my favorite colors---------------and flames---------------

Well today was kind of a mile stone as i got to start the coupe up as a complete car.. it sounded good with a little bit of rumble and a deep throat sound.. only got to hear it run for about 30 secs after the exhaust was completed so i was waiting to hear how it would sound after it was all together.. two bugs to work out but no big deal on those... got my application for the GNRS so now the pressure is on to get it completed...
