I'm finally done buffing out the cab. This thing is a mile deep, looks like a brand new black bowling ball :)

I'm shooting to have the rear cab surround, and the center console ready for upholstery by Friday. Saturday I have a few small wiring bits to tie up on the front chassis harness. Tuesday I'm driving to Temple to drop the seat off.

Glad to see seat frame fitting so nice in there. I hadn't heard anything for a few days and was beginning to wonder if it was OK or not. A sigh of relief to see you were just ultra busy on it. Phillip Cato is the upholsters name. In my book and many others he is among the top guys within a 6 hour drive from Dallas/Fort Worth.

I'm really glad he was able to get me in. On the 30th he will bring me the console and floor mats. The seat should be done near the end of the September.
Wiring is 100% complete and I need to flash a base start tune in the PCM and start it.

The truck does run now... on 7 cylinders :(
I have had injectors problems from hell.
I pressured up the system and one of the brand new bosch red top injectors split open on the top and shot gas all over the damn place. Went over to my Dads and grabbed an extra used set of LS1 injectors and one of them has a dead coil.... UGH. I'm now waiting on a set of new 28lb/hr stock LS1 injectors to come in the mail. I knew I should have just bit the bullet and spent the 950.00 on a set of ID725s. You live and learn I guess.

Well the "To Do" list is shrinking fast. The truck has a great base tune in it and won't take much more to have it spot on. The seat will be done in a few days. All interior panels except the headliner are complete minus covering them in ultra leather.
Things left to do:
Paint Bed
Paint Tailgate
Paint front windshield and Install
Install wiper arm
Make headliner and cover
Cover Interior panels
Bleed brakes about 87 more times.....:mad:
Install Seat
BURN RUBBER!!!

Rear window in the right way.... I used urethane and .125 spacers to set the rear window surround exactly .375 off of the window.

Well a little bad news. The first and second tailgate I got from Mac Hils were a bust. first one was warped from welding the bottom tube on. The second one was completely twisted. I started building my own tailgate today and will have pictures in a few days of what I have come up with.
I did get a nice picture the other day of the seat progress. I will be out at Good Guys this weekend to pick the seat up.
