Nope, done deal. He has passed his pain threshold - makes little sense to me because he planned to replace frame rails anyway so it makes little difference how big the rust holes and the firewall is just another panel tackwelded in. I didn't try to change his mind, it is his decision.
He offered the body tub to me to build a gasser with, tempting.
Anyway, i thank everybody for thier interst and comments, they were kind and considerate as always.
