Thanks for the positive responses guys.

Jerry I think I would pass on the ride on that scooter (but after a couple of beers who knows LOL).

Roger, I saw the wheelbarrow thing too, which is what got the gears turning. I had mentioned to my daughter (the kids mom) a few months ago that I had found out they were still making new pedal cars, but it was a shame are so small that the 2 oldest ones have already pretty much gotten too big for one. I’m hoping for the kids to be able to enjoy this for quite a while.

Ryan, I have not heard the term “Tot Rod” before....that is likely to find it’s way onto the car.

I’ll probably kick the thread off this coming Sunday or Monday when we have a bit more progress made. This is the mob I’m building this with/for. Of course my oldest Grandson is the most excited about it, both the build and the expectation of having it completed. When my Granddaughter was asked if she wanted to help too she said “I’ll drive it”. The little one just likes looking at the shiny tools.

So far we have a plan, some rough drawings, a few measurements and some raw materials. I wish the wheelbarrow was a bit deeper, but I think we can make it work. I have explained to Cade that that is NOT patina, that is rust and cars come out of Grandpa’s shop with shiny paint.

I picked this old Power Products 1000 a few years ago when Cade was just a tot figuring it would be a good someday project to start learning engine basics ......well he’s definitely shown an interest so it looks like someday might be here.

I’ll fill in the details when I start the build thread.

I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
