45 chevy build
Here is a shot of my current project, a 45 chevy P/U rat truck. Although I don't like the word rat rod, I prefere to call it a hot rod like the one we would have built back in my younger days when we didn't have any money but a lot of junk yards a readily available parts to let your imagination run wild. Built right, strong, safely and fast! Using a 45 Chevy truck cab, hand built chassis, 20" kick-up in the rear, 3" kick-up in the front. 9" ford rear, 400 Th spun by a 425 c.i. Caddy mill, 32 Ford front axle w/37 Ford spindles sitting on spring-behind suicide. Vega box w/ cross steering, ModelA grill shell. Building the floor now and engine is up and puring like a kitten. Yes, thats a 15 gal beer keg for gas tank:my 1945 Rat.jpg
Great update, Mike! I adhere to Clint Eastwood's philosophy on aging, "Don't let the old man in!" Once in he's hard to evict. Thanks for keeping us involved with your projects!
