Did you change the front sheetmetal to '38 or was it a '38 to start with?

    Hi
It started as a 37 Slantback, with some very rusty front fenders,a pair of 37 fenders came up for sale from a guy who was making a fenderless pick up out of a 37, these were in a better condition than the ones I had,so these were bought and stored away ,then i sold the original ones that i had. When a few month later I tried to do a mock up of the front end you can imagine my horror when I found out the front fenders would not fit my 37 grill and hood etc, as luck would have it a few days later, the guy who was building the fenderless 37 pick up call me and said he had changed his mind and was selling the rest of the front end so a deal was done and I ended up with a 38 front, which I now believe to be a 39 standard front, which fits the body really well, so it confuse a few folks. What do you think?
    Dave
