.... All of the body off "plumbing" has been completed ......... short braided brake lines for the front have arrived ........ fuel system has been completed ........ fuel cell has been mounted and connected .......... vent tubes have been fabricated but won't be installed until final buildup ........... all chassis brake lines are complete ......... exhaust system has been completed ........... wheelie bars and springs have been adjusted for ride height .......... brake drums, starter & solenoid, seatbelts, copper header gaskets, fuse block, battery cables, toggle switches, spark plug wires have all been ordered ......... hope to have the body off by the middle of next week to begin total tear-down of chassis in preparation for paint ......... really starting to get "itchy" now .......... want to get him completed and on the streets

Think I'm getting almost as anxious as you are, Coyote!!!! Really getting some first rate work done in a reasonable time frame! Gonna be great to see some color on it!!!

Just so you know. I was talking to one of the cell manufacturers recently. He told me that the four tabs on the aluminum cells are only for locating, not for securing to the car. You need two straps going over the top of the cell like you would for a poly cell. Make some up from scrap with insulation between the cell and the straps and secure the ends to crossmembers or the frame. You'll be the talk of the town when other racers see it.
