What it was when I got it, and what it is today-
Mine came with the same hinge pins (nails). LOL I guess they must be a standard item!
Looks good! You came a long ways with it.
I just got a title for my '27 Tudor, I went to the dmv here in Tn, and told them I needed a title for a '27 Tudor Sedan I have, she asked if it was drivable, I showed a picture of it and said it's only the empty body, and that I wanted a title before I rebuild it, she filed out a couple papers and $43.00 later she gave me new plates & tabs, told me I would get one in the mail. 6 weeks later I got the new title & the serial # to put on the door jam! No inspection needed! :D They told me when my truck plates are up, to bring the tabs back and they will transfer them to i my truck so they don't go to waste! I said Cool!
So now I can put the body on the new chassis I built for it! :3dSMILE:
Pat
I wish it was that easy down here..There would be twice as many cars being built,or probably even more...
Yeah, I'm sorry about the size of the photos, I guess I am going to have to resize them to the size of a matchbox, to get them to work on here.
I thought I had the size down pat, as others one I posted that were that size came out just right on the forum... but not these... I dunno.
Painted the radiator, couldn't stand the aluminum silver, got the hood on, got the regular YOM tags for the 1926 plates, had to take it for s cruise down the coast, up the hill, and into the redwoods...HOPEFULLY this photo won't end up being a super humungous as the last 2...
Looks great! Love that flat roof! Looks cool unchopped!
Awesome scenery. Where is that ocean shot taken?
Don jr.
That photo was taken about 2 miles south of the town I live in... right before you get into the old growth redwoods... about 20-25 miles south on Hiway 101, below the Oregon border
The first shot, with the unpainted radiator, and no hood, was taken about 500 feet from my house...
so, will this finally bring you up for Grafitti?
If I'm not working, and the windows are in, maybe.....:)
Maybe, Brian, If the state decides to give the school district some $$ (that belongs to them, but the state took it during the AH-nold administration) then I have a good chance at still having a job.... if the District DOESN'T get it back, I may come up... and ask for a bedrooom to stay in.
I met up with some folks that just moved here, from the St Louis area, they had lived here before, and couldn't wait to get out of MO and get back here, they have opened a paint and body shop called www.northcoastkustoms.com
Anyway, I showed Johnny and Shaun hartman the Model T, and told them what I wanted done, and Johnny said the ONLY way he would paint the car, was to find out what was under all the paint.... and so it began....it will be a "shiny primer' sort of gray, with red pin striping (to match the powdercoated Tru-Spoke wheels) around the belt line, a little on the old cowl gas filler door, and some on the back panel...
Dave, Looking good.
I thought you only had your cars painted in high school auto shop classes?
LOL
John, I will admit to being a cheap a$$ son of a gun, but the high school here doesn't have a decent paint and body facility...
Hey, I was watching some coverage of the March Meet a few weeks ago, and I saw Lawless, and this light blue '60 euro ragtop... both haulin' BUTT... I was in the chat room when Mike made a pass, he surprised a few folks in there, and he and Troy got some serious respect...
Here's a few more... the dash has been painted, the underside of the hood, next is the door jams, and then the outside color. As I think I mentioned previously, it's going to be like a shiny primer, gray, with red pin stripes to match the old Tru-Spoke wheels.
Body is really looking good! Always a great day when the paint hits the parts for the first time!!!
Almost, getting color on it between rainstorms
Looks great. There is something about a T sitting up tall that I really like.
Looking really good, like the colour
Here is the "Grand Unmasking".....
Lookin good!!! Love the color and the unchopped top. Awesome. Don Jr.
Had it's first after paint and re-assembly run up to Brookings, OR (about 40 miles round trip, nothing fell off, leaked, or blew up, always a good sign) last weekend for a car show, I left early, but guess I won a trophy for Under Construction.
Looks great, that first decent test drive can always be a bit of a nail biter.Nice job looks like a great cruiser to me.
Look great. Usually I am a hoodless kinda guy, but I like that tall t with the hood top. And I have really grown to like the flat tops.........................
Parked at the Brookings Azalea festival car show
It is looking very cool. I love it. I do enjoy the 'Under Construction' awards. I think that if we are driving them, then they are always under construction one way or another.
Looking sharp on the tall T......sheet metal looks in great shape.
Finally July, and the wildflowers are in bloom (we get LOTS of rain here, and summers can be about 2 weeks long, sometimes..)
Hey all, been pretty busy, My Mother In law that has lived with us for the last 6 years was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer on June 1st, had never smoked a day in her life, and had already survived cervical cancer in the 1980's, and breast cancer in the 1990's, but the lung cancer took her from us on September 17th...my wife quit working ( with my blessing) to stay at home with "Mom" (she was always "Mom" to me) as my wife and I flat refused to put her in a rest home... She passed quietly, with peace and dignity, in our home, in her bed, me on one side, her daughter on the other side, and her beloved cat in her lap...so anyway, with my wife not working, my disposable income kinda got disposed of...but I did manage to get some pin striping done on the car, the man's name is Jason Haban, he's local to me, he's a real young guy, but goodness is he talented !! It's obvious he doesn't drink much coffee...
Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law... Bummer for sure, but it sounds like she was a fighter and went out in style!
Some nice stripes! Good to see some young guys picking up on the art!
Sorry about Mom.
Car looks sweet!
Haven't had much time or $$ to work on the Model T, but I finally got tired of looking at the intrior with nothing but the seat and floormat in it.
Now, ol' Henry Ford never put window seals in the doors, I guess the water is supposed to drain through the doors, and out the holes in the bottom of the door... well, where I live, it rains 75-100 inches a year, so it's not a matter of if I get caught in a rainstorm, it's just when.
So using Masonite, or wood paneling wasn't gonna work, I know it would "potato chip" the first time it got wet... so what can I do?
I went to Home Depot, and started just wandering the aisles.
Came across the lumber section, and here was 4'x'8 sheets of 100% recycled PVC sheets, used for shower enclosures...it even had a texture on it kinda like a basketball.
So I got some trim screws, a new blade for my jig saw, and some plastic paint... I could have done thw whole thing with one 4'x8' sheet, if I hadn't screwed up one of the door panels, but still, the whole cost was right at 50 bucks...it certainly isn't professional, but it's better than what I had, and I don't have to worry about it getting wet
Love your car!!!!! Hello from the Right Coast--- Sorry about your 'Mother'.
This car just drove up from Crescent City to Roseburg for the Graffiti Weekend. He only had some very minor issues coming up and the car received lots and lots of attention!
Very nice T Tudor, I love it. I also like the budget oriented parts and ideas. Very nice!
Thats a nice looking tudor.... I have a 26 coupe with ford runnig gear
