Description
I have converted a 1935 GMC Mapleleaf 1 1/2 ton grain truck to a stretched cab Hotrod pickup truck with lots of help. I am trying to get it finished but have been repairing the work that has been done to it from numerous vendors. I will add more in the near future but I am showing what I started with and that is my mother standing beside the truck. This was my grandparents truck that they bought as new. My father even worked on and with this truck while he was dating my mother. He installed a hydraulic hand hoist and pivoted the box to lessen the amount of shoveling that had to be done to empty it. In memory of my father, the box on the hotrod tilts as well. The truck has been chopped 4 3/4" and sectioned 3". It runs on 4 wheel independent and 4 wheel air suspension. The doors have been custom built and stretched and converted to suicide. I have power windows, doors, a/c, LS2 with overdrive. A very heavy truck with a 141" wheelbase, should ride like a caddy. Finishing off the mounting everything to the frame as well as modifications to the body that has been stretched 27". Lots to do, gotta run!
