What car enthusiast has not wanted to own a Bel air? This icon of American automotive history was sadly sitting in a driveway when I saw it for the first time. as I walked around it, I was being told by it's former owner that it was slated for the local junk yard as he just didn't have the time/energy or desire to work on it anymore.. well after hearing this I went back the following day and by the time I was ready to leave this was my lucky coin toss car. Why lucky coin toss you ask? well let me tell you.. I originally could have had the two cars for around $1500 if I was willing to pay that.. well, being a betting man, I left it to the toss of a coin in paying either $1600 (I sweetened the deal to make the owner go for it) if he won OR I would take them for only ... well, a whole lot less and yes I won! |
